NEWARK, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 23, 2007--Ultralife Batteries,
Inc. (NASDAQ: ULBI) has received orders valued in total at
approximately $2.2 million from a major defense contractor - an
existing customer of the company, and from one of its international
distributors. Deliveries of $1.2 million in orders are expected to
begin in the third quarter with deliveries of the remaining $1.0
million in orders to be completed in the fourth quarter.
The defense contractor has placed orders for various McDowell
Research brand communication accessory products to power radio
systems. The order from the distributor is for the company's UBI-2590
lithium ion rechargeable batteries and chargers and will also be used
to power radio systems.
