Ultralife Batteries Accepts Modification to BA-5390 Military Battery Order

NEWARK, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 14, 2007--Late on Friday, May 11, Ultralife Batteries, Inc. (NASDAQ: ULBI) accepted a modification from the U.S. Defense Department to the order for its BA-5390 battery, which was announced last Wednesday, May 9, 2007. The $6.9 million order, with scheduled deliveries through December 2007, has been modified to $2.4 million, with deliveries through August 2007. An error in the Defense Department's procurement system caused the issuance of an order covering a longer-than-intended period of time.

"We have always cooperated with the government on contract and order modifications and this is no exception," said John D. Kavazanjian, Ultralife's president and chief executive officer. "We have no reason to believe that this adjustment reflects any change in the underlying demand for our product."
